Overview

Children with disabilities are left out of participating in activities all over Australia, simple because people don’t understand what their disability is or how to adapt an activity so that they are included.

Children with disabilities are left out of participating in activities all over Australia, simple because people don’t understand what their disability is or how to adapt an activity so that they are included.

We built a video-led online platform that took users through a selection of activities, disabilities and age ranges (depending on their situation). They were then delivered an easily sharable report giving practical advice on how to include the child before, during and after the activity.

We built a video-led online platform that took users through a selection of activities, disabilities and age ranges (depending on their situation). They were then delivered an easily sharable report giving practical advice on how to include the child before, during and after the activity.

As a video-led platform we needed to develop a way of portraying children with disabilities in a way that cuts through stereotypes. So instead of tip-toeing around the issues they face, we created a series of playful situations where their disability becomes an advantage.


The result is a portrayal that helps take the ‘fear’ out of engaging with children who have disabilities.
